The talk format is practically as old as radio itself. Every city in the United States has at least one and usually a couple of talk radio stations, typically featuring a combination of local hosts and “brand-name” hosts who are syndicated nationally on hundreds of stations.
There’s strength… and affordability… in numbers! Using our Remnant Radio strategy, the cost per person to reach national talk radio listeners is extremely attractive. And in the end, that means you pay less per lead.
Personalities like Rush Limbaugh, Michael Savage, Sean Hannity, Glenn Beck, Laura Ingraham, Mike Gallagher, Mark Levin and many others have thrived for years with huge audiences… millions of listeners per week in some cases. They all work from a single studio, and their shows are broadcast live to all the stations in their network. Many of them have a “Best Of” show that runs on weekends and features recorded highlights from the preceding week.
Other hosts focus on different topics of interest, like George Noory and his overnight “Coast to Coast” program that discusses offbeat theories and even possible extraterrestrial life! Kim Komando and Leo Laporte specialize in computer and technology information; Bill Handel talks about legal issues, and so on.
Perhaps most importantly, Talk listeners really are LISTENING closely to what’s happening on the station. That means when commercials come on, they are more likely to be heard because the listener is paying close attention.
Here’s where Berk Marketing’s Remnant Radio Strategy comes in. Virtually all Talk Radio Networks find themselves with unsold ad slots. The networks would rather get something than nothing for that “disappearing” inventory, and we are there to scoop up as many of those unsold spots as our clients need, which the networks will sell to us at about half price!
By the way, everything above applies to not only traditional AM/FM radio, but also to the Talk “channels” on Sirius/XM SATELLITE RADIO.
If all this sounds interesting, just send us a note at Results@BerkMarketing.com, or give us a call at 866-747-4707. We can quickly estimate the cost of putting together an on-air schedule to test whether talk radio advertising will work for you and your business. We will even write and record your ad for you using some of the best voice over artists in America! There is no cost or obligation for you to have Berk Marketing create a customized plan for you until you decide to give it a try. And it’s an exciting day when those radio spots start to run and your phone starts to ring or your website visits start spiking!
